HERITAGE MOYNAGARH PROJECT 2018

Moynagarh is an island within an island, surrounded by two large moats, the only of its kind in India, is a heritage declared by the Government of West Bengal in 2006.

We are going to organize the 458th Heritage Moyna Garh Naval Raashmela which is scheduled to be held in the months of November and December, 2018. The span of the event will be for 21 days.

  • By Air: Nearest airport- about 90 Kms- Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Dumdum, Kolkata.
  • By Train: Nearest Railway Station is Tamluk (10 Km) and Mecheda (46 Km). Mecheda is 59 Km from Howrah and 58 Km from Kharagpur.
  • By Bus:There are both Government and private buses plying from Howrah, Mecheda, Kharagpur, etc to Tamluk via Nimtouri point (10 Km).
  • By Boat:A boat is required to enter the main area which is available during the daytime.
